How to be a better woman for yourself

Being a woman is a full time job and as a woman I can boldly say that it is NOT an easy one. We are always criticized, judged and told what to do. No matter what you do, society will always have something to say. Sometimes, because of our desire to please people, we will end up listening to them. We feel the need to please them instead of ourselves! And because of this we forget the only person worth pleasing and listening to… OURSELVES! Here are a few tips on How to be a better woman for yourself.

Embrace your imperfections

A lot of us find it hard to believe that we are beautiful, but for each one of us to succeed we need to understand that our worth isn’t defined by societal standards, in fact we are beautiful and smart just as we are. We don’t need anyone else’s input. Learn to compliment yourself everyday and to accept yourself as you are!

Stay Confident

Maintaining our confidence even when we have no idea what to do will help us get out of any situation! Believe in your potential, work towards becoming better at whatever task is giving you a hard time. Do not let anyone undermine you and stand up for yourself!

Keep Learning

Continual learning is essential. We all need to step out of our comfort zone and educate ourselves, gain a new skill and break gender stereotypes. I promise no knowledge is a waste! And if is not useful for you now, you might impact someone else’s life in future!

Prioritize Self-Care

Is no wonder everyone talks about self-care like is the biggest step in self love and improvement; it is because it is one of the biggest steps! Taking care of yourself mentally physically or even spiritually, means putting yourself first and making YOU a priority. Pamper yourself, choose your fashion style and feel good about who you are.

Know Your Heart’s Desire

Understand your goals and aspirations. Ask yourself ‘What do I truly want?’ Define your path based on your desires and not on what others say or do. To do this you can experiment and try new activities, hobbies etc. Find exactly what makes you happy and act on it.

Love Yourself

If there is no love in yourself, how can you pour love in others? Focus on self-love so you can share it with others. We are the only ones who know per say how we want to be loved. Lead yourself by example! You aren’t selfish, you are nurturing your well-being.

Set Boundaries

Define limits and communicate them, protect your mental and emotional health by saying ‘no’ when is needed. A boundary is protecting your emotional well-being by setting limits on how others treat you. It’s about knowing when to say no and prioritizing self-care.

Surround Yourself with Positivity

Make sure you surround yourself with people who inspire you and not devalue or gaslight you. You need support and happiness. Another tip is to be comfortable in your own space and enjoy your company! Sometimes we don’t need other people around.

Make Peace with the Past

Let go. Let go of regrets, past situations, heartbreaks, embarrassments and disappointments. They are real barriers in your journey to better yourself as a woman. Accept that mistakes are part of growth, and no body is perfect. Believe you will move on and you will!

Advocate for Yourself

Speak up fro yourself. Make sure you are heard. If thing you need and deserve are not being given to you respectively speak p and advocate for yourself. Sometimes WE are our knights in shining armor. Assertiveness empowers you to navigate life on your terms.

Remember, being a better woman starts with self-awareness, self-compassion, and intentional actions. Follow these tips and you will surely become a better woman for yourself.
